Places I listen: the social places Otto reads

Places I listen is where you tell Otto which social spots to keep an eye on - a Facebook group where clients post gig requests, your Instagram DMs, or anywhere else conversations happen. Whatever you add here feeds your Inbox, where every conversation arrives already triaged.

Add a place

1. Open Settings > General and scroll to Places I listen.
2. Enter a name for the place, so you recognize it later.
3. Paste its URL.
4. Pick the kind: Facebook group, Instagram DMs, or other.
5. Click Add a place.

The place appears in the saved list below the form. Repeat for as many places as you want Otto reading.

Remove a place

Every saved place in the list has a Remove button. Click it and Otto stops reading that source. You can add it back any time.

You are in full control of the list

This list is saved-only: it contains exactly the places you added, and nothing gets added on its own. If a source is not in this list, Otto is not reading it.

How these places feed your Inbox

Conversations from your listened places flow into the Inbox tab, where they are triaged into groups: Needs you, Reply ready, Waiting on them, Follow ups, Handled, and All good. For items with a drafted reply, you can edit the draft, then use Open & copy to open the original post with the reply already on your clipboard. You paste and send it yourself, then confirm with I sent it so the conversation is marked replied. The app never posts to a social platform for you - you always make the final send.

Tips for a useful list

• Start with the one or two places where most of your leads actually show up, then expand.
• Use clear names like "NJ Party Planners FB group" so Inbox items are easy to place at a glance.
• If a group goes quiet or you leave it, remove it here so your Inbox stays focused.
