Using Booked Solid OS on a second computer

You already set up Booked Solid OS on one computer and now you want it on a laptop, a studio machine, or any other computer. Here is the one thing to know: you activate your license code exactly once. Every other computer signs in with your username and password instead.

Set up the second computer

  1. Install Booked Solid OS on the new computer and open it.
  2. On the account screen, click Already set up on another computer? Sign in.
  3. Enter the username and password you chose when you first activated. Do not enter your license code.
  4. You are in. The new computer starts its own session and works just like the first one.

Do not re-enter your license code

Your license code binds to your username the first time you activate, and only that once. If you paste the code again on the second computer, you will see:

That license code was not found or is already in use.

That message is expected. Your code is not broken and your license is fine. It just means the code was already claimed, most likely by you on your first computer. Switch to Already set up on another computer? Sign in and use your username and password instead.

Good to know

  • No device limit. There is no cap on how many computers you can sign in on. Each sign-in simply starts a fresh session for that machine.
  • Offline works on each machine independently. Once a computer is signed in, it can work fully offline for 14 days. Each of your computers keeps its own 14-day window, so going offline on your laptop does not affect your desktop.
  • Forgot your password? Use Reset your password on the sign-in screen. Enter your username, not your email. A 6-digit code goes to the email you saved on the account.

If it does not work

  • Double-check you are on the sign-in view, not the license code view. The license code only works once, ever.
  • If sign-in shows Wrong username or password. try the reset flow. Enter your username and check the email on your account for the code.
  • If the app says it could not be reached, check your internet connection and try again. Your other computer keeps working in the meantime.
