What is in your download
Your skill edition download from the Green Room holds two things:
- START-HERE.md: the setup guide.
- Booked Solid OS (upload this to Claude).zip: the skill file for Claude. You will upload this exactly as it is. Do not unzip it, and do not upload the whole download.
Total setup time is about 2 minutes, and you do not need to know anything about AI. You do need a paid Claude plan at claude.ai.
Upload the skill
- Go to claude.ai in your browser and sign in.
- Click your initials or profile picture (bottom-left on desktop), then Settings, then Capabilities. If you do not see Capabilities, type "skills" in the settings search. Find the Skills section.
- Click Upload skill and choose Booked Solid OS (upload this to Claude).zip from your download. Upload that one file only.
The nested zip error
If Claude shows the red error "Zip cannot contain nested zip files", you uploaded the whole download by mistake. Go back into the downloaded folder and upload only the file named "Booked Solid OS (upload this to Claude).zip". That one file is the skill.
Important Mac note
Safari sometimes unzips downloads automatically. If you see a folder called "Booked Solid OS (upload this to Claude)" instead of a .zip file, right-click the folder and choose Compress to recreate the zip. Upload the new zip.
Run it
- Open a brand new chat.
- Before anything else, switch the model to Opus 4.8, Claude's most capable model. Near the message box you will see the name of the model you are currently on (it may say Sonnet or Haiku). Click that name and pick Opus 4.8 from the small menu. If a newer Opus is listed, pick that one. If your plan does not list Opus at all, use the most capable model your plan offers.
- Type exactly: run booked solid
Switching to Opus first matters more than any other setting here. Booked Solid leans on the model for the parts that make it yours: reading what a planner's inquiry is really asking, matching your writing voice, and doing your package and gear-and-crew math. The stronger the model, the sharper all of that comes back.
The 9 questions
Claude asks you 9 quick questions about your work, your market, and your prices. Answer all 9 in one message. Shorthand is fine: "open-format wedding DJ in Austin, mostly weddings and corporate" or "AV production for corporate events, 3-person crew". Skip anything you do not know.
Question 9 matters most: paste a short paragraph you actually wrote. An email to a couple, a proposal cover note, or your bio all work. That is how everything comes back sounding like you.
Claude then builds your system: seven complete pieces (your lead map, outreach pack, follow-up engine, pricing pipeline, admin pack, 90-day plan, and relationship builder). If it pauses partway, just say continue. That is it, setup is complete.
If something looks off
- Claude does not respond to "run booked solid": say "use the booked-solid-os skill", or re-check the upload under Settings, then Capabilities, then Skills.
- The output feels generic: you gave it generic inputs. Tell it your real prices and your real city, paste a real writing sample, then say "rebuild that with more of my voice and my numbers".
- It cut off mid-answer: say "continue".
- A script does not sound like you: say "warmer", "funnier", or "more formal", or paste a sample of how you would say it. It recalibrates instantly.
Updates are included
booked.kivimedia.co/resources holds the current owner resources, and the Green Room at booked.kivimedia.co/green-room keeps your newest download. Inside Claude, say "check for updates" any time and it will compare your copy with the published DJ and AV version. Updating never touches your answers or your generated system.
