Sign in and fix a failed sign-in

You sign in to Booked Solid with the username and password you created when you activated your license. If the sign-in screen (the Account Gate) is standing between you and your work, this article walks through the normal sign-in and the fastest fix for each common failure.

Sign in normally

  1. Open Booked Solid. The Account Gate appears before the app whenever you are signed out.
  2. Enter your Username. This is the username you picked during activation, not your email address.
  3. Enter your Password.
  4. Click Sign in. The gate steps aside and the app opens.

Common sign-in failures and how to fix them

Wrong username or password

  • Double-check that you are typing your username, not your email address. They were set up as two separate things when you activated.
  • If the password is the problem, click Forgot your password on the gate. Enter your username, click Send me a code, and a 6-digit code arrives by email. Type the code into the 6-digit code field, choose a New password, and click Save my new password. Then use Back to sign in and sign in with the new password.

You never set up an account on this computer

If this is your first time in the app, there is no account to sign in to yet. Click First time here? Enter your license code and activate instead:

  1. Paste the license code from your license email. It looks like BS-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX.
  2. Enter your email, pick a username, and pick a password (use the Show/Hide toggle to check your typing).
  3. Click Set up my account.

The gate says your license is paused

This means the license was paused or revoked on the billing side, not that your password is wrong. Use the Renew button to reopen the buy page, then click Check again. The full walkthrough is in the article "Your license is paused" or license revoked - how to get back in.

You have been offline too long

Booked Solid keeps working without an internet connection for a 14-day grace window. If that window runs out, the gate asks for one online check. Connect to the internet once and click Check again - the app revalidates your license and lets you back in.

The app signed you out on its own

The app quietly revalidates your license in the background. If your account was signed out or the license changed on the server, the app returns to the Account Gate even mid-session. Your work is not lost - it lives in your Booking HQ folder on your own computer. Just sign in again, and if the gate shows a paused message instead, follow the renew steps above.
