Leads I marked lost are still showing on my Calendar (and how to hide lead chips)

You opened the Calendar tab and found your dates buried under amber chips for gigs that died months ago. The customer who first reported this filed a ticket that was two words long: "calendar bug". They were right. The Calendar used to draw a chip for every record that carried an event date without ever checking whether the deal had already been marked Lost, so dead work sat on the exact dates you plan against. That is fixed. If you came here searching for "lost leads still showing on the calendar", "dead leads on my calendar", or "leads I marked lost are still on the calendar", this is the right article, and the first thing worth knowing is that nothing has been deleted.

Nothing is deleted when a chip disappears

Read this part before anything else, because it is what most people worry about first. The Calendar is a view. It draws chips from records that already exist, and it never changes, archives, or removes a record. When a lost deal stops appearing on the Calendar, that record is still exactly where it was, with its full history, its notes, and its money attached.

1. Open the Gig Desk tab (this is your leads list, called the Leads tab in older builds and in some older articles here).
2. The Board view folds its closed columns away, so click Show closed above the board. The Lost column appears, next to Show completed.
3. Prefer a flat list? Switch Board to List at the top of the Gig Desk, then click the Lost filter in the row of stage filters.
4. Either way, every deal you have ever marked lost is sitting there, untouched.

The Calendar and the Gig Desk's Lost filter now use the identical test for what counts as lost, so the two screens can never disagree with each other about a record.

What the Calendar actually draws

Click Calendar in the tab row across the top of the right pane. The row reads Today, Gig Desk, Calendar, Tasks, Inbox, Plays, Settings, with the rest behind More.

Everything on the grid belongs to one of four layers, and each layer has its own color so you can read the wall without squinting:

• Gigs (green) - records at the stage Booked or Show completed. Confirmed work.
• Leads (amber) - every other open record that carries an event date. This deliberately includes leads that have gone quiet and leads you have parked as prospecting. They are still live opportunities and you want to see them when you plan.
• Follow-ups (coral) - a follow-up coming due on that day. If a lead already has a chip on that date, the follow-up is not drawn a second time.
• My calendar (quiet gray) - events pulled from your own connected calendars, so you can catch a date clash before you commit.

A chip that belongs to one of your records is a button. Click it and that record opens on the Gig Desk. Events from your personal calendar are not clickable, because there is no Booked Solid record behind them.

Two other things about the grid are worth knowing. Week and Month sit at the top left, with Today and the arrows beside them for moving around. And in Month view each day shows at most three chips, then a small link counting the rest, reading and 3 more or however many are hidden. Clicking that link jumps you into Week view for that day so you can see all of them.

What the bug was, and what changed

A lost deal still holds whatever event date it once inquired about. The old Calendar flattened every record with an event date onto the wall and never asked about the stage, so those stale dates kept drawing as amber pipeline chips. On a busy season that is enough noise to make the whole screen useless.

The Calendar now skips anything marked Lost. Specifically:

• Booked and completed gigs stay exactly as they were.
• Open leads stay, including the ones that have gone quiet or cold.
• Follow-ups and your personal calendar are untouched.
• Only records you marked Lost drop off.

The fix shipped in version 1.11.21. Any version from 1.11.21 onwards has it, and you do not have to do anything to get it: the app checks for a new version on every launch and downloads it quietly in the background.

Check which version you are on

1. Open the Settings tab.
2. Find the Updates section. It reads "You're running Booked Solid" followed by your version number.
3. If that number is 1.11.21 or higher, you have the fix.
4. If it is lower, click the Update ready badge in the top bar and then Restart & install. No badge showing? Click Check for updates in the top bar instead.

One dead end to skip. On an old build, going back to the Gig Desk and marking those deals Lost again does nothing at all to the Calendar. It feels like it should work, but the old Calendar never looked at the stage in the first place, so re-marking a record cannot change what it draws. Only the update fixes it.

The leads toggle, if you want them off the wall right now

If what you are really asking is how do I hide leads on the calendar this minute, the leads toggle is your answer, with one catch that matters.

1. Open the Calendar tab.
2. Underneath the Week and Month controls sits a row of four chips: Gigs, Leads, Follow-ups, My calendar. Each one carries a count.
3. Click Leads. The chip dims and every amber pipeline chip leaves the grid.
4. Click it again to bring them back.

Here is the catch, and it is the reason this is a stopgap and not the fix: the leads toggle hides all pipeline chips, not only the lost ones. The live leads you are actively chasing disappear along with the dead ones. If you plan your week off this screen, you will plan it blind.

Two smaller notes on the toggle. It changes what this screen draws and nothing else, so no record is altered in any way. And it is not remembered: move to another tab and come back, and all four layers are showing again.

Other ways to quiet things down when the calendar is cluttered

• Switch from Month to Week. Month view compresses a lot into small squares, and a week gives each chip room to be readable.
• If the noise is really your own appointments, turn off My calendar rather than Leads.
• Turn off Follow-ups when you are planning dates rather than working your queue.
• A record with no event date never gets a green or amber chip. It can still show a coral Follow-ups chip on the day its next chase is due. If a chip is sitting on a date that is simply wrong, open the record on the Gig Desk and correct or clear its Event date field. Only do this when the date is genuinely wrong, because you lose the date.

What the Calendar will not do

Being straight about the limits so you do not go hunting for a setting that is not there:

• There is no per-record "hide this one from the calendar" switch. The toggles work by layer, not by lead.
• The layer toggles are not saved between visits to the screen.
• The Calendar does not create, move, or delete anything. It reflects your records, so a chip you dislike is fixed on the record, not on the Calendar.

If lost deals are still on the Calendar after you update

1. Give it a minute. The Calendar reloads itself roughly once a minute, so a stage you changed seconds ago may not have landed yet. Leaving the tab and coming back forces a fresh read.
2. Open the record from its chip and check that its Stage really is set to Lost. A deal you mentally wrote off but never marked is still an open lead as far as the app is concerned, and it is meant to keep showing.
3. Re-check your version in Settings > Updates. An update downloads in the background but only swaps the new build in on a full quit and relaunch, so an app left running for days can still be on the old code.
