Undo the last run (and put it back)

Every run Otto makes can be rolled back. If a play or Autopilot session changed files in your Booking HQ in a way you don't like, Undo last run reverses those changes in two taps - and if you change your mind afterward, you can put the run right back.

How to undo the last run

  1. Open the Activity screen (the Activity button next to the Chat | Power view switch).
  2. After a run has finished, tap Undo.
  3. The button arms itself and asks you to confirm. Tap Confirm undo to actually roll the run back.

The two-tap design is deliberate: a single stray click can never wipe out a run's work. Nothing is undone until you confirm.

Putting an undone run back

Undo is itself reversible. If you roll a run back and then realize it was actually fine, use Put undone run back in the same spot. The run's file changes are restored and you're back where you were before the undo.

What undo preserves

Undo is smart about work you did after the run. If you edited a file yourself after Otto's run finished, those newer edits are preserved - undo reverses the run's changes without stomping on what you added afterward.

What undo cannot do

Undo works on files, not on the outside world. If a run actually sent something - an email, a message - undo cannot un-send it. The recipient already has it, and no software can reach into their inbox and take it back.

This is exactly why Booked Solid parks outgoing sends as decision gates and keeps cold outreach as drafts by default: the moment before sending is the moment you can still change everything. Undo is your safety net for everything on disk; the approval gates are your safety net for everything that leaves your machine.

When to reach for undo

  • A play reorganized or rewrote files in your Booking HQ and the result isn't what you wanted.
  • You ran the wrong play, or ran the right one with the wrong settings, and want a clean slate before rerunning it.
  • You want to compare before and after: undo, look, then Put undone run back if the run's version wins.
