A coral pill in the tab row counting gigs that need a quick fix is the app telling you exactly which records are refusing to save. It is a shortcut, not an error you have to hunt down.
What the pill is counting
A gig record can reach a state where every write to it is refused: one saved field is repeated, longer than that field allows, or malformed. The app then refuses to save the whole record until it is repaired, and so does Otto. Otto says so plainly, along the lines of the record having a saved field that needs your review in the app first and nothing being changed, but it does not name the gig. The pill is the surface that names them.
Seeing a large number at once is normal: records carried over from an older version tend to share the same over-length field, so they all become stuck together.
Clear it
- Click the pill. The Gig Desk opens with the list filtered to Needs a quick fix, so only the stuck records are shown. If just one gig is stuck, its editor opens straight away.
- Open the first gig. A coral banner at the top names the exact fields and what is wrong with each one.
- Press Shorten the long ones to fit. The app trims each over-length field back to its limit, keeping whole words where it can, and tells you what it touched.
- Read the trimmed text, then press Save changes.
- Go back to the filtered list and repeat down the list.

Watching the count go down
The pill re-reads the stuck list every few seconds, so the number drops as you repair each record and the pill disappears on its own when the count reaches zero. You do not need to restart the app or refresh anything.
Good to know
Saving a repaired record replaces only the named booking fields. Your notes and every other section of the gig are left untouched.
If the coral banner tells you to press Save but gives you no Shorten the long ones to fit button, you are on an older version where Save simply re-checked the same long value and refused again. Update from booked.kivimedia.co/download and the button will be there.
