Beyond house rules and appearance, the General tab holds a handful of smaller controls worth knowing: a power toggle for big jobs, your account readout, a way to rewatch the welcome experience, and a couple of quality-of-life switches. Here is what each one does.
Dynamic workflows
The Dynamic workflows toggle lets Otto put many helpers to work at once on big jobs, instead of doing everything single file. Next to the toggle is a ? button - click it for a plain-language explainer of what changes when it is on. If a large job feels like it should be moving faster, this is the switch to check.
Your account
The Your account area shows who is signed in right now. Next to the readout is a Sign out button. Signing out does not delete anything - your Booking HQ folder stays on your computer - it just ends the current session so you (or someone else on a shared machine) can sign in fresh.
Replay the opening
The Replay the opening button replays the full-screen welcome you saw on first run - the one that walks through picking your Booking HQ, granting permissions, and getting your first win. It is handy in two situations:
- You clicked Look around first or skipped a step during first run and want a second pass at setup.
- You are showing the app to someone and want them to see the guided start.
Updates: hide what's-new cards
After an update, the app surfaces what's-new cards - like the What's new in this update card on your Dashboard. If you would rather not see them, turn on the Hide what's-new cards toggle in the Updates area and they stop appearing.
About
The About blurb at the bottom of the tab is a short description of the app - useful when you need to check exactly what you are running.
Support logging
The support logging toggle also lives on the General tab, alongside a Generate Support Bundle button. Leave logging off in normal use; turn it on when you are working through a problem with support. The full walkthrough is in the Troubleshooting article "Generate a support bundle and turn on support logging" in this help center.
