Is there an iPhone app? Does it work offline? And what computer do I actually need?

The questions usually arrive together, from a phone, at the end of a long evening: "is there an iPhone app", "does it work offline", "can I use it on my phone". One performer sent the whole thing in a single line, exactly as it came: "I have it been trying to make it work but my is system on my Mac is too old. Until I get a new computer can will the 50 dollar per month version you off offline work on my iPhone?" Behind every version of it there is one real problem, and it is the part said almost in passing: my Mac is too old. Here are the straight answers to all of it, plus the honest fix for the old Mac.

There is no iPhone app, and there is no offline mode

Both answers are no, and knowing that now saves you an afternoon of hunting through the App Store.

Booked Solid OS is a desktop application. It installs on a Mac, a Windows PC or a Linux machine, and it runs on that computer. There is no iPhone version of the app itself. You cannot run Booked Solid off your iPhone, and buying a phone will not get you around a computer that will not run it.

It also needs an internet connection to do real work. Otto does its thinking through Claude online, so with no connection there is nothing for Otto to think with. Offline, the app still opens and your Booking HQ files are all still there on your disk, but the assistant cannot research a venue, draft a follow-up or run a Play. So: does it work offline, in the sense of working on a plane with the wifi off? No.

One nuance, so this does not read as a contradiction of the other article you may have found. Your license has a 14-day offline grace window: once a computer is signed in, it keeps working for up to 14 days without reaching the license server. That grace is about proving you are allowed to use the app, not about Otto being able to work. Otto still needs a live connection either way. The phone companion is a window onto your computer, not a replacement for it

There is a phone side to Booked Solid, and it is worth knowing what it genuinely is, because almost everyone hopes it is more than it is.

The phone companion is a private window onto your own desktop. It shows your leads, chats and approvals while your computer stays powered on and connected. It is not a stand-alone app that holds your business on its own, it cannot do anything while the desktop app is closed, and the iPhone side of it is still being finished. If your plan is to use the phone instead of fixing the computer, there is no version of that plan that works. Skip it and read the last section instead.

What does work from a phone today is the Booth, on the Otto tier. When Otto parks a decision for you, it lands on your phone as a Telegram card with Approve and Reject buttons, and your tap runs the real approval back on your desktop. That is a genuinely useful thing to have on a gig night, and it is set up in about five minutes: see Set up the Booth: approve Otto from your phone. Note the same condition applies. The Booth needs Booked Solid open on your computer to apply anything you tap.

If the reason you want a phone app is that your computer sleeps, travels with you or gets shut at night, the supported answer is a machine that stays awake, either a spare computer in a cupboard or a small rented server. There is no $50 per month version of Booked Solid

If you have seen fifty dollars a month somewhere and assumed it was a cheaper tier of Booked Solid, it is not. There is no $50 per month version of the desktop app, and there never was.

The $50 price belongs to KM Hub, which is a different product from the same team. It is web-based, you sign up in the browser at hub.kivimedia.co/signup, and there is no desktop install and no license code. Booked Solid OS is the desktop app this help center documents, at $100 a month for new customers.

They are not two tiers of one thing, so the choice is a real decision rather than a slider. The two are compared properly, including which one suits which way of working, in Booked Solid OS vs KM Hub: which one is for you.

One more cost to count while you are here: Otto runs on your own Claude account, so Booked Solid OS also needs a paid Claude plan. Claude Pro, around $20 a month, covers most performers. The free Claude tier does not work. KM Hub does not need a Claude account at all.

If you already bought Booked Solid, none of this changes what you pay

You own it for life. There is no monthly fee, ever, and that does not change. The $100 a month price applies to brand-new customers who do not already own the app. There is no surprise bill sitting behind an update, and nothing about a new computer or a new operating system triggers one. What computer you actually need

First the good news, because it is the part people do not expect: a replacement machine does not have to be a Mac. One download page at booked.kivimedia.co/download covers Windows, Mac and Linux, and your login, license, leads and history all carry over. There is nothing to re-buy and nothing to migrate by hand. If a Windows laptop is what you can afford this month, buy the Windows laptop.

Now the constraint. Booked Solid needs a reasonably recent operating system. If the system on your Mac is too old and macOS cannot update far enough on that hardware, the desktop app will not install or run on it, and no setting, workaround or older build changes that. This is the wall most people hit, and it is not something you did wrong.

To find out exactly where you stand:

1. Click the Apple menu in the top-left corner of your screen and choose About This Mac.
2. Read the top line. It names your macOS version, for example Ventura or Sonoma, with a number.
3. Submit a ticket from this help center with that exact line in it.

We would rather tell you for certain about your specific machine than have you guess from a number on a page, so send the line and support will tell you plainly whether that Mac can run it or whether a new computer is the only path. On Windows, the equivalent is Settings > System > About, and the same offer applies.

If it still will not run

If the download page gives you an installer and the app refuses to open, or the installer stops with a message about your operating system, do not keep retrying it. Submit a ticket from this help center with three things: the exact top line from About This Mac or Settings > System > About, the name of the file you downloaded, and the exact wording of whatever message you saw. That is enough for us to tell you in one reply whether the machine can be made to work or whether it is time for a different computer, and we will be straight with you either way.
